I have the original discs for Diablo 2 and LOD, i reclaimed the games from B.Net and downloaded the installers for both. My current pc setup does not have a cd drive and i would like to install the game and am unsure how to do this. Any ideas would be greatly apprecieated.
I guess if it is not possible that i will have to buy a usb based cd drive.
Thanks in advance

Did you add your game keys to your battle.net account? If so then you can use the online installer. Just download it from Account Management.
https://us.battle.net/account/management/download/
When it asks for a game key use the ones listed in Account Management here https://us.battle.net/account/management/ Under the games list. You can copy paste it in.

Thank you Miss Cheetah,
I did add the game keys to my battle net account and i downloaded the online installer for d2 and LOD.
I ran the installer for d2 once it had downloaded but the first box up was the box to say make sure you have the disc in the cd drive, i cannot even get to the point of inputting the game key.
As for LOD i will try the key from the battle net account, when i ran the installer i got the box for the game key, but it wanted a 26 digit key and the one on the box is only a 16 game key. Will let u know how it goes.
But i do not know what to do about the d2 installer.
Tried the LOD installer and the game key from the battle net account, inserted the game key and hit okay and the next box that came up said. Please insert the cd labeled Diablo 2 Play Disc'.
So no matter what i do both installers still require me to have the discs in the cd drive

Avitar,
If you've had the game installed on the computer you're trying to use now, you may need to delete a registry entry or it's going to think you want to play, not install.
Using the Windows regedit app, locate and delete the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREBlizzard EntertainmentDiablo II
Then run the new installer again. Do so as an administrator by right clicking the icon used to start it and selecting that option.
To see your 26 digit key, it should be listed on your Battle.net Account Management page. Go to the Summary section and then select the game.
You must have Diablo II installed before you can install the Lord of Destruction.
If you require any additional assistance with Diablo II, please post in the Classic Games Technical Support forum located here.

I have now posted this in the classic games section. Just to update you even after taking out registry key, still asking for cd in cd rom drive.
Avitar,
Did you select the option to run the installer as an administrator as I mentioned?
